Assessing the Predictive Capacity of Astrology on Divorce Likelihood: A Comprehensive Academic Investigation of Planetary Alignments, Predictive Patterns, and Their Influence on Marital Dissolution (Part 1)
Author(s): Raghavendra Sai Akkinapragada
Abstract: This study investigates the astrological indicators that may forecast an individual's likelihood of divorce, defined as the legal dissolution of marriage by a court. Utilizing the esteemed principles of the Brihat Parasara Hora Shastra, it constructs a comprehensive framework for analyzing the intricacies of astrological research. The investigation examines the correlations between planetary placements and the interactions among astrological houses within the Natal chart. Key areas of focus include the presence of at least one functional malefic in the 7th or 8th house, the existence of more than two planets in the 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 8th, or 11th houses, and whether the lords of the 1st and 7th houses are positioned in dual signs. Furthermore, the study explores whether these lords are situated in nakshatras governed by Jupiter or Mercury, or if their nakshatra lords occupy dual signs, in addition to the placement of Venus in a dual sign. By clarifying the predictive potential of these astrological elements, this research seeks to offer structured methodologies for evaluating the likelihood of divorce, thereby enriching the scholarly discourse on the connection between astrology and individual destiny.
