The estimation of death-related patterns and causative influences through astrological parameters represents an emerging interdisciplinary approach in forensic research. The present study was conducted on 50 postmortem cases, of which 13 representative cases were analyzed in detail to explore potential correlations between astrological configurations and circumstantial patterns of death. The samples were collected from the Department of Forensic Medicine, Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) with proper ethical approval and consent from the relatives of the deceased.

Comprehensive personal and demographic details were recorded in a structured proforma designed by the researcher. The astrological charts for each case were prepared using Parashara’s Light 9.0 software, known for its accuracy and authenticity in Vedic astrology. The analysis focused on planetary transits, dashas, nakshatras, shadbala strength, karak and marak houses, and influencing grahas at both birth and death.

The interpretative framework was supported by classical astrological texts, online authenticated courses (such as Udemy and expert lecture series), and peer-reviewed journal references. Observations revealed recurring astrological patterns linked to specific modes and timings of death, suggesting that planetary configurations could provide supplementary insights in forensic case interpretations.

This study highlights the potential of astro-forensic correlation as a novel perspective in understanding death-related phenomena and encourages further research integrating forensic science with astrological diagnostics for a more holistic analytical approach.
